Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking a Safety Coordinator to ensure the safety of employees at the workplace. This role involves creating safety standards, developing safety plans, training employees on safety procedures, and responding to emergencies. Candidates must have a degree in a relevant field and relevant safety experience of at least three years. An advanced certificate in Workplace Safety & Health is also required. Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience as an Assistant WSHO, WSH Coordinator, HSE Manager, or similar.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Create safety standards: Establish safety standards based on legal requirements
  • Develop safety plans: Create and implement plans to reduce accidents and injuries
  • Train employees: Educate employees on safety procedures and compliance requirements
  • Monitor workplace conditions: Check on work activities and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Respond to emergencies: Coordinate responses to accidents and emergencies, and provide initial aid
  • Investigate incidents: Collect data and report findings on accidents and incidents
  • Conduct safety inspections: Participate in safety walks and inspections to identify risks
  • Set up safety equipment: Ensure that safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits, are available and functional
  • Develop policies: Create policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness
