Job summary

Dyson Institute is seeking a Design Engineer, Category, to drive the development and delivery of innovative Dyson products and technologies. You will blend hands-on engineering with project ownership, moving from concept and prototyping through detailed design, validation and production readiness.

You will contribute to Dyson robotic products across mechanical, electronic and software-enabled systems while collaborating with global teams and partners to meet milestones and travel to Asia as

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience across product development stages.
• Ability to translate user and technical needs into clear requirements.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and design reviews.
• Familiarity with design for manufacture and assembly principles.
• Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop products and features from concept to production.
• Translate requirements into specifications and engineering deliverables.
• Own defined systems, assemblies or work packages.
• Prototype, test, and analyze concepts for validation.
• Balance performance, cost, manufacturability, and timing.
• Identify risks and support root-cause resolution.
• Participate in design reviews and milestone assessments.
• Coordinate activities across distributed teams.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders.
