Job summary

Dyson Institute is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for New Product Innovation in a multi-disciplinary team. You will help conceive disruptive product concepts and realize approved ideas within the NPI milestones, contributing to design and development across electro-mechanical systems.

You will prototype, test, and iterate using 3D CAD (NX), PLM (Teamcenter), and simulation tools, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

Degree (or equivalent) in engineering or science.
Ability to translate concepts into actionable designs.
Strong creativity and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Generate original ideas and identify market opportunities and translate into product concepts.
Engineer mechanical and electronic systems optimizing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Design and build functional prototypes with bespoke test methods for validation.
Validate concepts via hand calculations, simulations, or rapid lab testing.
