Job summary

The Straits Wine Company in Singapore is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service, drive sales, and support smooth store operations in a dynamic wine retail environment.

You will assist customers with wine selections, upsell premium products, operate the POS system, handle cashiering duties, and maintain shelves and displays to ensure a welcoming, organized shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Prior retail or sales experience preferred, especially in wine or F&B industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers.
• Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Job Summary

Join our team as a Retail Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service, drive sales, and support smooth retail operations in a dynamic wine retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting wines and provide tailored recommendations to enhance their purchase experience
• Upsell premium wines and cross-sell related products such as accessories and gourmet items to increase sales
• Promote in-store promotions, membership programs, and events to boost customer engagement
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
• Operate POS system accurately and handle cashiering duties to ensure efficient checkout
• Perform stock replenishment and conduct inventory checks to maintain product availability
• Maintain store cleanliness and hygiene to provide a welcoming shopping environment
• Organize shelves, displays, and wine racks to ensure visual appeal and proper storage standards (temperature, lighting, handling)
• Support creation of attractive product displays and promotional setups to drive sales
• Attend training sessions and wine tastings to develop comprehensive product knowledge
• Share confident and accurate product information with customers to support informed purchasing decisions
• Collaborate closely with team members and managers to support store operations
• Provide feedback on customer preferences, product performance, and store processes to improve service quality
