Job summary

Indian Overseas Bank in Singapore seeks a professional to manage retail banking accounts and customer onboarding. The role involves handling customer communications, onboarding new clients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The position requires accurate processing of transactions, remittance handling, and knowledge of account lifecycle operations, including opening and closing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers
• Communicating with customers through various channels
• Liaising with Customer, Banks on update/follow up issues
• Authorise Retail Banking Transactions including Money Exchange, Remittance and Personal Account Management, Account Opening
• Approve operational matters, such as Inward/Outward Remittance (Meps, TelegraphicTransfer, Drafts Cashier Order)
• Handling local and foreign cheques clearing through CTS/EGIRO
• Handling currency cash
• Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations
• Onboarding new customer (SB/CA) and scrutinizing documents
• Possess sound understanding of relevant regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of preparation of Customer Statement Message
• Knowledge of Reconciliation
• Knowledge of preparation of regulatory reports.
• Customer Onboarding, KYC Compliance and Updation.
• Account lifecycle operations (Opening/Closure)
