5G-Starlink Pte. in Singapore is seeking a proactive Purchasing Executive to manage incoming vessel purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for quotes and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in a related field, has at least 3 years of marine industry experience, and demonstrates strong negotiation skills, initiative, and comfort with ERP (DANOS). This full-time role offers growth within a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related field required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in marine industries.
• Able to multitask and be self-motivated.
• Strong negotiation skills and resourcefulness; adept with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels.
• Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations.
• Negotiate prices and follow up orders with suppliers.
• Evaluate quotations and select suppliers after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority.
• Liaise with warehouse and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide forwarding instructions to suppliers.
• Keep vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries.
• Contact vessel port agents.
• Handle customs clearance.
• Make bookings for services and repairs based on arrangements by the Vessel Manager.
• Maintain and update suppliers database on various platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

• Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels
• Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations
• To negotiate prices and order follow up with suppliers
• Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm to choose supplier after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
• To liaise closely with warehouse, suppliers and to ensure on time delivery
• Give forwarding instructions to supplier
• Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries
• Contact with vessels port agents
• Custom clearance
• Make necessary formal bookings for service and repairs based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager
• Maintain and update suppliers database on various platform.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holder in related field/discipline
• Self-motivated individual with minimum 3 years experience in marine industries is a MUST
• Possess initiative and able to multi-tasks
• Resourceful with good negotiation skills
• Tech Savvy, adaptable to working with ERP (DANOS)
