Job summary

5G-Starlink Pte. is seeking a Junior Purchasing Executive to manage incoming vessel purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for quotations and timely deliveries.

You will negotiate prices, follow up orders, and liaise with warehouse and port agents to ensure on-time execution. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in a related field, have at least 3 years in marine industries, and are proficient with ERP systems (DANOS).

Qualifications

• Diploma holder in related field/discipline.
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task.
• Resourceful with good negotiation skills.
• Tech Savvy with ERP (DANOS) experience.

Responsibilities

• Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels.
• Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations.
• Negotiate prices and order follow up with suppliers.
• Evaluate quotations and select supplier after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority.
• Liaise with warehouse, suppliers and ensure on-time delivery.
• Give forwarding instructions to supplier.
• Keep vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries.
• Contact vessels port agents.
• Custom clearance.
• Make necessary bookings for service and repairs based on arrangements by Vessel Manager.
• Maintain and update suppliers database on various platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

• Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels
• Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations
• To negotiate prices and order follow up with suppliers
• Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm to choose supplier after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
• To liaise closely with warehouse, suppliers and to ensure on time delivery
• Give forwarding instructions to supplier
• Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries
• Contact with vessels port agents
• Custom clearance
• Make necessary formal bookings for service and repairs based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager
• Maintain and update suppliers database on various platform.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holder in related field/discipline
• Self-motivated individual with minimum 3 years experience in marine industries is a MUST
• Possess initiative and able to multi-tasks
• Resourceful with good negotiation skills
• Tech Savvy, adaptable to working with ERP (DANOS)
