Job summary

gfm vivo city pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily restaurant operations and supervise the front-of-house team.

You will help maintain service standards and contribute to achieving operational and sales objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating shifts, managing reservations, handling customer feedback, and ensuring prompt, professional service while collaborating with the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in restaurant operations or hospitality.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Service Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong leadership, customer-service and communication skills.
• Able to supervise, train and motivate a service team.
• Good understanding of restaurant service, cashiering and operational procedures.
• Able to manage customer complaints calmly and professionally.
• Familiar with point-of-sale systems, payment handling and sales reconciliation.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and perform well under pressure.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Monitor dining-room cleanliness, table presentation and service-station readiness.
• Train, coach and guide supervisors and service employees.
• Assist with preparing staff schedules and arranging manpower coverage.
• Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies.
• Ensure employees follow cash-handling and payment procedures.
• Assist with daily sales reconciliation, reports and closing procedures.
• Support sales-building activities, promotions and upselling initiatives.
• Enforce food hygiene, workplace safety and company procedures.
• Assist with stock checks and control unnecessary wastage.
• Report maintenance, staffing and operational issues promptly.
• Take charge of restaurant operations when the Restaurant Manager is unavailable.
