Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced curatorial managers to help train an AI language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated material across major workflows including exhibition essays, funding applications, and donor briefings.

The role requires 4+ years in museums or related cultural settings, expert writing and document craft, and a fully remote, flexible schedule (5-20 hours per week). Start ASAP with earnings at $70/hour.

Qualifications

• 4+ years working in a museum, gallery, cultural institution, arts nonprofit, or academic humanities setting producing scholarly or public-facing written material.
• Demonstrated command of art-historical, literary, or cultural research methods and the ability to translate scholarship into clear, board- or public-ready writing.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows.
• Collaborate on workflows including exhibition catalog essays, cultural funding applications, collection provenance spreadsheets, donor briefing decks, public programming outlines, and artist biographical profiles.
• Ensure high-quality, clear, well-structured writing suitable for board-level and public audiences.
