Job summary

HL Bank Singapore is seeking a diligent Remittance Operations professional to manage transaction processing, reconciliation and regulatory compliance across multiple payment hubs. You will coordinate with teams and counterparties to ensure accurate processing, robust controls, and timely reporting.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing support, defect management, and post-go-live stabilization to sustain smooth operations in a dynamic banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and process remittance transactions (e.g., SWIFT, local payments) accurately within timelines.
• Verify completeness and correctness of remittance requests, including account details and documentation.
• Ensure all outward and inward remittance transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with SOPs and guidelines.
• Perform effective dual controls on transactions and raise any discrepancies to the compliance team.
• Reconcile positions with agent banks and internal GL accounts.
• Maintain records of transactions and supporting documents for audit purposes.
• Liaise with internal teams and counterparties to resolve discrepancies and confirm instructions.
• Operate remittance processing systems for data entry, validations and approvals; perform daily reconciliations.
• Identify potential risks or unusual transactions and escalate to risk/compliance.
• Generate and share daily/weekly transaction reports with stakeholders; monitor pending transactions.
• Review business requirements across Payment Hub, v8, and SAA systems; develop test scenarios for end-to-end remittance flows.
• Conduct SIT, UAT, regression, and industry testing; validate outputs against regulatory and ISO20022/MX standards.
• Log, track and retest defects with IT/vendors; assist in writing runbooks and configuring business rules.
• Provide post-go-live hypercare support, manage fallback procedures and system checks.
