Job summary

Charterhouse has been exclusively appointed to identify an experienced Private Banking / Wealth Management Operations Leader. This senior role oversees a broad operations portfolio across middle office, settlements, corporate actions, derivatives, funds, fees and reference data, delivering reliable service and strong controls.

You will work with bankers, product specialists and senior stakeholders to resolve complex issues, lead regional onshore and offshore teams, and build leadership capacity

Qualifications

• Substantial Private Banking or Wealth Management operations experience, ideally within a large Private Bank.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience, including senior leadership across multiple operational functions.
• Avaloq experience would be advantageous.
• All-round operational background with strong understanding of end-to-end transaction lifecycle and dependencies across products and teams.
• Proven experience managing regional operations and onshore/offshore delivery arrangements.
• Hands-on leadership approach with ability to set clear priorities and direction.
• Experience supporting business growth, new products, and changing client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operational leadership: Oversee shared services and processing activities spanning middle office, settlements, corporate actions, derivatives, funds, fees, and reference data.
• Business partnership: Act as a senior escalation point, providing practical solutions to complex client, product, and transaction requirements.
• Cross-product oversight: Apply sound operational knowledge across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and investment funds.
• Regional delivery: Lead onshore and offshore teams, strengthening accountability, service standards, capacity planning, and collaboration.
• Risk and controls: Maintain governance, manage operational incidents, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and control gaps.
• Continuous improvement: Simplify processes, enhance systems, and introduce automation while maintaining stable day-to-day delivery.
• People development: Build leadership capability, develop talent and establish effective succession plans.

This opportunity suits a senior leader who has progressed through wealth management operations and combines broad product knowledge with the judgement, credibility, and drive to lead a demanding function. The position carries substantial day-to-day operational responsibility, regional exposure, and the opportunity to take on broader leadership responsibilities over time.

The role

You will lead a broad operations portfolio, ensure reliable service delivery while strengthening controls, developing people and supporting evolving business requirements. Working closely with bankers, product specialists, and senior stakeholders, you will resolve complex operational issues, manage competing priorities, and build the capacity to support continued growth.

What we are looking for
