Job summary

Pacific International Lines Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Pricing and Commercial Assistant Manager for Global Reefer Trade Pricing. You will develop and implement pricing and yield strategies and work with Sales, Operations, and HQ Liner to ensure profitability and competitiveness of reefer cargo.

The role requires strong pricing expertise, market analysis, and the ability to influence senior management with data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of pricing management or related roles in shipping/logistics, preferably reefer.
• In-depth knowledge of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and industry practices.
• Strong strategic thinking to align pricing with HQ Liner goals.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical ability to conduct market research and pricing data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Establish pricing guidelines and rate matters for reefer cargo, considering market trends and profits.
• Communicate with Trade, Regional Office, and Local Agents on outlook, space allocation, and equipment needs.
• Optimize pricing models to maximize revenue while balancing demand and vessel utilization.
• Use data analytics to analyze pricing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide guidance to sales agents on booking approvals and LMS processes.
• Conduct market analysis of current and future demand, supply, and competition for reefer products.
• Build strong networks with agents and customers to tailor offerings and resolve operational issues.
• Conduct feasibility studies on pricing strategies and support trade commercial projects.
• Expand PIL’s reefer customer base through service quality and relationships with strategic customers.
