Job summary

Pacific International Lines Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager, Trade Pricing for Global Project Cargo (GPC). You will develop pricing and yield strategies for Project Cargo, Breakbulk and OOG cargoes, collaborating with Sales, Operations, and HQ Liner to ensure profitability and competitive performance.

You will evaluate pricing models, analyze market data, and guide sales teams on special cargo bookings to support rapid turnaround and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of pricing management experience in shipping, logistics or maritime industries.
• Knowledge of pricing strategies, market dynamics and industry practices in shipping/transportation.
• Ability to develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with HQ Liner goals and market conditions.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing terms and maintain customer relationships.
• Effective communicator to present pricing strategies and updates to internal stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage pricing guidelines and rates for Project Cargo, Breakbulk and OOG cargoes.
• Communicate with Trade, Regional Office and Local Agents on business outlook, projections and space needs.
• Evaluate and optimize pricing models to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Use data analytics to analyze pricing performance and recommend improvements.
• Guide sales agents on booking approvals and related processes to ensure quick turnaround.
• Conduct market analysis to assess demand, supply and competition for special cargo products.
• Build and maintain relationships with local agents and customers to tailor solutions and resolve commercial issues.
• Carry out feasibility studies on pricing strategies and trade services; contribute to business development plans.
• Drive improvements to shorten rate-request turnaround time while maintaining governance and feasibility.
