Job summary

Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd is seeking a Pricing and Commercial Assistant Manager for Global Reefer Trade Pricing. You will develop pricing and yield strategies and manage key reefer accounts, collaborating with Sales, Operations and HQ Liner to drive profitability.

Lead pricing guideline development, monitor market trends, and optimize models to maximize revenue while ensuring competitive service. Build strong relationships with agents and customers in reefer cargo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in pricing management in shipping/logistics, preferably reefer cargo.
• Deep knowledge of pricing strategies, market dynamics and industry practices in shipping.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage pricing guidelines and rates for reefer cargo (including ancillaries).
• Maintain regular communication with Trade/Regional Office/Local Agents on outlook, space allocation and equipment needs for reefer business.
• Evaluate and optimize pricing models to maximize revenue and vessel utilization.
• Use data analytics to analyze pricing performance and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Guide sales agents on reefer booking approvals and LMS processes for quick turnaround.
• Conduct market analysis on demand, supply and competition for reefer product.
• Develop network with local agents and customers to tailor offerings and resolve operational issues from a commercial perspective.
• Conduct feasibility studies on pricing strategies and trade services; participate in business development for reefer trades.
• Expand PIL’s reefer customer base through strong service and strategic customer relationships.
