Job summary

Beng Siew Construction (BSC) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to establish and manage total project costs across demolition projects.

You will break down tender costs, estimate materials and labour, advise on contract requirements, verify sub-contractor claims, and prepare payment and progress reports to support project delivery and profitability.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Competent in professional practice and contract administration processes.
• Proficient in project quantity surveying functions and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet project deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear stakeholder interaction.
• Familiarity and proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing demolition and construction drawings.
• Highly skilled at reviewing draft demolition/construction documents and drawings.
• Demonstrates teamwork and leadership abilities under challenging conditions.
• Ability to work effectively under stress.

Responsibilities

• Break down project tender costs and negotiate to achieve competitive pricing
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials and labour costs accurately
• Advise the operations team on contract legalities and specification requirements
• Verify sub-contractor claims and prepare payment certificates to ensure accurate payments
• Assist project managers by participating in on-site and off-site project meetings
• Coordinate and monitor site work progress through periodic inspections and meeting attendance
• Facilitate clear and effective communication within the project team to support project delivery
• Collaborate with inter-departmental teams to align project objectives and resources
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients and sub-contractors to support project success
• Generate monthly project expense reports for financial tracking and analysis
• Prepare monthly progress reports to support submission of progress claims
• Compile final project cost versus profit reports upon project completion
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support project and company goals
