Job summary

DESHIN ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to oversee project costing, budgeting and cost control across the project lifecycle in Singapore. You will prepare tenders, evaluate bids and manage variations, claims and final accounts.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Singapore’s construction sector, strong contract knowledge, and excellent negotiation and communication skills to support commercial risk management and profitability.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Singapore construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering, costing and measurement
• Experience in handling variations, claims, progress payments and final accounts
• Good understanding of Singapore construction practices and contractual procedures
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage project costing, budgeting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare and evaluate tenders, quotations, cost estimates and Bills of Quantities

• Prepare and manage progress claims, variation orders and contractual claims
• Handle subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and provide regular cost reports
• Review contract conditions and provide commercial advice to the project team
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve competitive pricing
• Assist in contract administration and ensure proper commercial documentation
• Support project managers in managing commercial risks and maintaining project profitability
