Job Responsibilities
Support the Contracts Director/Contracts Manager and QS manager in overseeing and guiding a team of project QS.
Prepare and monitor project cost budget, cash‑flow for project, track changes in design/construction work, check variations and adjust budget projections accordingly.
Source and liaise with site personnel, suppliers, sub‑contractors, consultants and/or architects for all project‑related matters.
Responsible for progress claims, variation orders, final accounts and sub‑conductor progress claims.
Work closely with the project team and oversee the quantity surveying team in the analysis, evaluation and negotiation of quotations, ensuring timely award of sub‑contractors and suppliers.
Communicate with technical team to ensure that quotations are complied with specifications and the method of construction.
Produce quantity measurement within targeted timeline.
Prepare and call quotations, including analyze and evaluate costing of tender; negotiate and award subcontracts for project.
Review and prepare agreements for award to subcontractors and suppliers.
Certify and evaluate progress work done, include contract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contract works.
Assess and submit monthly progress claim, and recommend sub‑contractor’s monthly progress payment.
Finalise subcontract and main contract’s final account.
Provide additional ad‑hoc duties that may be assigned time to time.
Requirements / Competencies
Degree/Diploma in Projects & Facilities Management or Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
At least five years of relevant experience and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Highly motivated, self‑driven with initiatives to work independently. Able to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
