Job summary

A leading Singapore-based engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Manager to lead the QS team on multiple M&E projects. You will oversee BQ, cost planning, tender submissions, and contract administration, while mentoring the team and ensuring cost-effective design solutions.

Candidates should have 10+ years in M&E QS, with at least 3 years in management, and familiarity with Singapore contract forms and BIM tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in M&E quantity surveying
• At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong experience in BQ preparation, tendering, cost planning, contract administration, and final accounts
• Familiarity with Singapore standard forms of contract (PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC) is preferred
• Experience with BIM-based quantity take-off and cost management software is an advantage
• Excellent leadership, commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement strategies, subcontractor evaluations, and commercial negotiations
• Oversee contract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and overall commercial performance
• Mentor and develop the QS team

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in M&E quantity surveying, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Strong experience in BQ preparation, tendering, cost planning, contract administration, and final accounts.

• Strong understanding of M&E design, Design & Build (D&B) project delivery, and engineering coordination.

• Ability to review M&E design drawings and provide commercial and cost management advice throughout the design process.

• Experience in value engineering and cost optimization.

• Familiarity with Singapore standard forms of contract (PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC) is preferred.

• Experience with BIM-based quantity take-off and cost management software is an advantage.

• Excellent leadership, commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
