Job summary

EPX PTE LTD is seeking a meticulous AutoCAD drafter for site-based projects in Singapore. You will prepare shop and detail drawings, review project specs, quantify materials, and assist with cost estimates and tendering.

You will liaise with sub-contractors, measure quantities, and support variation orders, claims, and final accounts while maintaining accurate documentation and progress tracking.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related construction field.
• Minimum 2 years as AutoCAD drafter is an advantage.
• Strong numerical sense, meticulous, analytical, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Familiar with Glass and Aluminium is a plus.

About the role

This role involves preparing shop drawings, detail drawings, and AS-Built drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and completeness for submission. You will analyze project specifications, quantify materials and resources required, and prepare detailed cost estimates. The position includes obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers, measuring quantities and taking off, preparing Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments, and preparing tendering works for submission.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, detail drawings, and As-Built drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and completeness for submission

• Analyze project specifications, quantify materials and resources required, and prepare detailed cost estimates

• Obtain quotations, liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers

• Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off

• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments

• Prepare tendering works for submission

• Support project administration tasks including document management and progress tracking

• Seek clarifications with the respective consultants regarding discrepancies in the scope of work and drawings

About you

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related construction field

• 2 years as AutoCAD drafter is an advantage

• Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player and able to meet tight deadlines

• Strong numerical sense, highly organized, and capable of multitasking effectively

• Good written and spoken English

• Familiar with Glass and Aluminium is a plus point
