Job summary

TWO NINE SIX O TRADING PTE LTD is seeking a capable Estimator with a Building/Quantity Surveying background to perform quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender preparation for diverse projects in Singapore.

The role involves liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers, while managing claims and contractual issues in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, sequences and materials.
• Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and MS Business Centre.
• Excellent English communication; able to liaise with clients, contractors, and engineers.
• Strong negotiation and coordination skills; thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Independent, detail-oriented, and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Take-off quantities and estimate costs for tenders and projects.
• Prepare tender submissions and respond to Tender Questionnaires; assist interviews.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with specialists, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and follow up monthly progress claims timely.
• Finalise project accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Handle contractual issues including extensions of time and loss/expense claims.
• Analyze tender outcomes and prepare detailed reviews.
• Ensure compliance with SOP, ISO, and company standards.

JOB ROLE

• Responsible for quantity take-off and cost estimation of tenders and projects.


• Prepare for tender submission and follow-up with Tender Questionnaires reply and Interview.


• Sourcing, evaluate and negotiation with specialists, suppliers and subcontractors.


• Prepare and follow up monthly progress claims in timely manner.


• Finalize project accounts with clients and subcontractors.


• Deal with significant contractual issues including extension of time, loss and expense claims, terms and conditions etc.


• Analyze tender outcome and prepare detailed reports for review.


• Aware and comply with relevant regulations such as Security of Payment Act (SOP), etc.


• Ensure compliance with relevant ISO and company standards or objectives

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum diploma or degree holder in Building / Quantity Surveying / Civil / Structural Engineering.


• Good knowledge of construction drawings, sequences and materials.


• Process relevant skills in MS Office, AutoCad, Microsoft Project and MS Business Centre.


• Good communication skills in both oral and written English and has the ability to liaise effectively with other professionals, e.g. clients / developers, main contractors, construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers, consultants, suppliers, etc.


• Possess excellent negotiation and coordination skills and able to work in fast paced environment.
