Job summary

WebuilQ Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor for Construction / A&A projects. You will manage pre- and post-contract activities, cost control, and procurement in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in QS, have 2–5 years of relevant experience in Singapore construction, and can read drawings, analyze quotations, and prepare claims with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant QS experience in Singapore construction.
• Experience in A&A, renovation, or main contractor environment preferred.
• Strong costing, contracts, and project administration knowledge.
• Familiar with local construction practices and regulations; read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Contract & Tendering: prepare estimates, cost plans, and bill of quantities; source quotations; evaluate submissions; assist pricing strategies.
• Post-Contract Administration: manage budgets, cost tracking, and variation orders; certify payments; monitor cash flow.
• Procurement & Contract Management: assist procurement, issue purchase orders, negotiate terms, track costs.
• Project Coordination: work with PMs, site teams, consultants; ensure costs are controlled through the lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

Pre-Contract & Tendering

• Prepare tender cost estimations, cost planning, and bill of quantities (BQ)

• Source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers

• Analyze quotations and prepare comparison reports

• Assist in tender submissions and pricing strategies

• Prepare tender clarifications and supporting documents

• Evaluate project risks and cost implications

Post-Contract Administration

• Handle project budgeting, cost tracking, and cost control

• Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts

• Evaluate and certify subcontractor claims and payments

• Monitor project cash flow and project financial performance

• Ensure proper documentation and contractual compliance

• Attend project meetings and liaise closely with project teams

Procurement & Contract Management

• Assist in procurement and subcontractor award processes

• Prepare and issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements

• Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers/subcontractors

• Monitor material and subcontractor cost fluctuations

• Maintain proper records of all commercial and contractual documents

Project Coordination

• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Clients

• Support site teams on contractual and commercial matters

• Ensure project costs are well managed throughout the project lifecycle

• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline

• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant QS experience in Singapore construction industry

• Experience in A&A, renovation, or main contractor environment preferred

• Good knowledge of construction costing, contracts, and project administration

• Familiar with local construction practices and regulations

• Able to read drawings and understand project specifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Responsible, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

• Team player with positive working attitude and willingness to learn

Salary Range

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
