Job summary

Visionary Interior Design Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs for residential and commercial interiors, delivering accurate estimates, budgets, and cost plans from inception to handover.

You will handle tendering, contract administration, cost control, value engineering, site visits, and risk assessments, with strong skills in CostX and Buildsoft, and a Diploma/Bachelor’s in QS.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years’ QS experience, preferably in interior design projects (Residential & Commercial).
• Strong knowledge of costs, contracts, and interior design materials.
• Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Familiar with CostX and Buildsoft software.
• Knowledge of local Singapore building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, covering materials, labor, and overheads.
• Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses.
• Tendering: Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors.
• Contract Administration: Administer contracts and manage changes to project scope, ensuring compliance.
• Cost Control: Monitor project progress and expenditures, implementing necessary cost control measures.
• Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and provide financial insights.
• Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and address cost-related issues.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks related to costs and timelines.
• Post-Project Evaluations: Conduct evaluations for final cost assessments.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma/Bachelor's in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.
• Experience: 5 years as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with interior design experience (Residential & Commercial).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of costs, contracts, and materials in interior design.
  Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and contract administration.
  Familiar with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).
  Knowledge of local building regulations (Singapore standards).
• Qualities: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
