Job summary

Jinyue Aluminium Engineering (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender quotations for construction projects. The role involves reviewing tender documents, performing quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities.

You will source quotations, evaluate prices, prepare tender submissions and handle subcontractor appointments, progress claims and final accounts. Prior experience with aluminium façade or glazing works is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with aluminium façade, curtain wall, cladding or glazing works preferred.

Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender quotations for construction projects.

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.

Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ).

Source quotations and evaluate prices from suppliers and subcontractors.

Prepare tender submissions, cost comparisons and tender clarifications.

Evaluate and recommend the appointment of suppliers and subcontractors.

Prepare subcontract agreements, purchase orders and work orders.

Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients or main contractors.

Assess subcontractors’ progress claims and recommend payments.

Identify, evaluate and submit variation-order claims.

Maintain proper supporting records for additional works, back charges and claims.

Attend site meetings and conduct site measurements when required.

Liaise with clients, consultants, project managers, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

Monitor work progress and ensure claims are submitted within the required deadlines.

Prepare project cost reports and highlight potential cost overruns to Management.

Negotiate rates, variations and final-account matters.

Prepare and agree on final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

Maintain complete records of quotations, contracts, claims, payment certificates and project correspondence.

Perform other contractual and commercial duties assigned by Management

Job Requirement

Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Relevant quantity‑surveying experience in the construction industry.

Experience in aluminium façade, curtain wall, cladding or glazing works would be advantageous.

Able to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts and Bills of Quantities.

Knowledge of quantity take‑off, cost estimation, tendering and contract administration.

Able to prepare progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.

Experience in evaluating subcontractor quotations and payment claims.

Good knowledge of construction costs, materials and subcontractor rates.

Familiarity with Singapore construction practices and standard forms of contract would be preferred.

Detail‑oriented and capable of maintaining accurate contractual and costing records.
