Job summary

WEITAI CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a disciplined Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, tendering and procurement activities on construction projects in Singapore.

The role requires Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, 3+ years of relevant experience, strong numerical skills and proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam. You will liaise with vendors and project teams to control costs and budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience with tender submissions, contracts, and vendor negotiations.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.

Job description

Job Description:

• Quantity take-off and cost estimation.
• Material ordering, budget tracking on quantity for main materials (eg: rebars, tiles etc).
• Measurement, payment response, VO for subcon.
• Preparing of tender submission within specific deadline.
• Source, negotiate and awarding of contracts to vendors.
• Tendering and contract documents administration, preparing BQ, cost estimation, control and budgeting.
• Monitoring actual construction cost vs contract work quality.
• Ensuring that cost is ideally managed within budget throughout the project.
• Advising the project team on contractual rights and arbitration procedures when dispute arises.
• Ensure meticulous assessment of costs / schedule of all projects activities.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 3-years of relevant working experience in the Construction industry.
• Good with figures and an eye for details.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledgeable about construction materials and procurement methods.
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
• Good knowledge in Building Construction Works, Singapore Contracts Law and regulations will be an added advantage. Side note:
