Job summary

Apple South Asia Pte. Ltd. in APAC seeks a Manager of the Quality Engineering team to lead a skilled group of Quality Engineers, ensuring rigorous testing on cross-functional projects. You will guide QA strategy, own release readiness, and drive automation initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with global QE peers, IS&T, Engineering, and Product Management to embed quality early, translate signals into actions, and mentor a team through complex programs across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Engineering/QA experience, including 2+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience leading distributed teams across time zones.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and efficiency practices to reduce cycles.
• Experience evaluating vendor/contractor testing resources and retention decisions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and establish operational plans.
• Experience partnering with global teams to organize testing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and influence to drive meaningful change.
• Experience growing QE teams through organizational change.
• Strong written and verbal communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Quality Engineers.
• Own quality strategy, test coverage, and release readiness.
• Champion automation adoption and standardize practices across teams.
• Surface risks and status to leadership with clarity and urgency.
• Translate quality data into actionable insights for readiness and investment.
• Advocate for the team while managing scope and resources.
• Navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions with incomplete information.
• Partner with IS&T, Engineering, and PM to embed quality early.
• Plan resources and structure; identify skill gaps including automation depth.
• Manage prioritization and vendor capacity across global/regional commitments.
