Job summary

JR FOODS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quality Assurance leader to oversee the QA team and ensure top-tier food safety and quality across production. The role focuses on building a robust QA framework, mentoring staff, and driving regulatory compliance to support business growth.

You will work across departments, engage with regulators, and lead audits while improving processes and ensuring that all safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science & Technology or related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and data handling.
• Well-versed in HACCP, HALAL, GMP and Singapore food regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise the QA framework and SOPs to uplift production standards.
• Collaborate with departments, customers, suppliers and regulators to maintain quality.
• Drive projects to ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Monitor HALAL implementation and GMP compliance across operations.
• Lead quality audits and address issues highlighted in yield reports.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee GMP and food safety training for production staff.
• Manage government grant applications and oversee feasibility studies for overseas expansion.

About the role

Overall responsible for the quality control and assurance functions. To lead, manage and mentor the QA team, and to ensure a productive and high-performance work environment. To provide effective and efficient technical support services to support the company's business growth and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and revise the quality assurance framework for the company and modify and improve existing production standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Collaborate with all departments, customers, suppliers and government regulatory bodies to ensure quality is a high priority
• Drive projects and processes to ensure compliance with various food safety and hygiene standards and requirements
• Monitor HACCP and ISO 22000 as well as Halal implementation
• Lead and report on quality audits, identify and resolve problems highlighted in yield reports
• Ensure that all food safety, quality related and non-compliance issues are investigated and corrective measures are implemented and adhered to
• Oversee GMP and food safety training for Production personnel
• Be in-charge of the application and submission of government grants
• Be involved in the feasibility study for setting-up overseas factories

Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science & Technology or related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in food processing industry
• Able to lead, guide and manage a small team with effective communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well-versed with HACCP, HALAL, GMP and other food related regulations in Singapore
