Job summary

jr foods pte. ltd. seeks an Assistant QA Manager to lead the QA team, oversee quality control/assurance, and drive compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000 and Halal standards in Singapore.

You will develop QA frameworks, revise SOPs, and collaborate with production, regulatory bodies, suppliers and customers to ensure top-quality outcomes and support business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science & Technology or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in food processing industry.
• Ability to lead, guide and manage a small team with effective communication.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Well-versed with HACCP, HALAL, GMP and other food related regulations in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsible for the quality control and assurance functions.
• Lead, manage and mentor the QA team to maintain high performance.
• Provide effective technical support to support business growth.
• Develop and revise QA framework and SOPs as needed.
• Collaborate with departments, customers, suppliers and regulators to prioritise quality.
• Drive projects to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Monitor HACCP and ISO 22000 as well as Halal implementation.
• Lead quality audits and resolve issues highlighted in yield reports.
• Investigate and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Oversee GMP and food safety training for Production personnel.
• Involve in feasibility studies for overseas factories.

Job Specifications (Assistant QA Manager)

• Overall responsible for the quality control and assurance functions.
• To lead, manage and mentor the QA team, and to ensure a productive and high-performance work environment.
• To provide effective and efficient technical support services to support the company’s business growth and operations.
• To develop and revise the quality assurance framework for the company and to modify and improve the existing production standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), when necessary.
• To collaborate with all departments, customer, suppliers and government regulatory bodies to ensure that quality is a high priority in the company.
• To drive projects and processes to ensure compliance with the various food safety and hygiene standards and requirements.
• Monitor HACCP and ISO 22000 as well as Halal implementation.
• To lead and report on quality audits, identify and resolve problems highlighted in yield reports.
• Ensure that all food safety, quality related and non-compliance issues are investigated and that corrective measures are implemented and adhered to.
• Oversee of GMP and food safety training for Production personnel.
• In-charge of the application and submission of government grants.
• To be involved in the feasibility study for setting-up overseas factories.
• Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
