Job summary

NTC Wismettac Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a motivated Purchasing Executive to manage the purchasing activity for a Japanese food wholesale company.

You will handle import orders, create POs, liaise with suppliers, source locally and overseas, and oversee inventory to support sales. This role operates Monday–Friday with occasional Sunday work from home and compensation in-lieu.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in FMCG or equivalent.
• Dynamic individual and self-driven personality.

Job description

Reporting to the Procurement Executive, the incumbent is responsible for the purchasing activity for a Japanese food wholesale company.

Purchasing

• Processes import orders by gathering the necessary information from the Sales Department.

• Prepares and administers Purchase Orders (POs).

• Checks the supplier’s confirmed order list and pricing, and updates the information accordingly.

• Maintains and updates the Import Order List and schedules, making necessary adjustments when required.

• Performs accurate and timely data entry into the Company’s system (SBO) and ensures all information is complete and accurate.

Sourcing - Local and Overseas

• Sends enquiries to local and overseas suppliers and follows up with the Sales and Purchasing Departments accordingly.

• Maintains and updates the Sales List, Enquiry List, and other relevant sourcing records.

• Coordinates the sample tasting process by gathering internal feedback and arranging for samples to be received locally or from overseas suppliers.

• Registers new items in accordance with the Company’s SOP.

• Follows up with suppliers on product information, pricing, availability, and other relevant details to support the Sales and Purchasing functions.

Inventory Administration

• Keeps and updated records of the inventory including shelf life, quantity etc.

• Timely updates the Sales Department on inventory levels to prevent overstocking or running low on stock.

• Timely update the Sales Department on inventory levels and product quality to prevent overstocking, stock shortages, and quality issues.

Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in FMCG or equivalent.

• Dynamic individual and self-driven personality.

• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with 1 hour break.

• Able to Work-From-Home 4 hours on Sunday (alternate), half-day Off in-lieu will be compensated.

• Work location is opposite Tuas Link MRT station.
