Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for a purchasing assistant to support their procurement efforts. This role includes responsibilities such as sourcing suppliers, processing purchase orders, and maintaining inventory records. Candidates should have at least a Diploma and 2-3 years of experience, preferably in Electrical Engineering. The position offers a salary ranging from $3,000 to $3,800 plus bonuses, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma qualification or above.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Electrical Engineering industry.
  • Experience in purchasing, inventory, or procurement functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Receive incoming stock and verify against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Conduct quality checks on received goods and report discrepancies or damages.
  • Update and maintain inventory records accurately in the system.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/store team to ensure proper storage and labelling.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor when reordering is required.
  • Assist in stock-taking exercises and reconcile any variances.
  • Generate purchasing and inventory reports as required by management.
