Job summary

ALIGN RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is partnering with an electronics manufacturing company in Singapore to fill a Purchasing role.

You will source and evaluate suppliers, review quotations, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms to secure favorable conditions. You will coordinate purchasing activities with customer forecasts, production schedules, and orders, monitor material quality and availability, and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of components.

Qualifications

• Must have a Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in purchasing within the electronics industry is required.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers and stocklists based on cost, quality and delivery.
• Review quotations and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
• Coordinate purchasing with customer forecasts, production schedules, and orders.

Job description

• Source and evaluate suppliers and stocklists based on cost, quality, delivery, and supply reliability.
• Assess supplier products to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
• Review quotations and negotiate pricing and delivery terms to secure favorable purchasing conditions.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with customer forecasts, inventory, production schedules, purchase requisitions, and orders.
• Monitor material quality, availability, and delivery, follow-up on purchase orders, and update internal stakeholders.
• Manage strategic and high-value purchases with significant impact on cost and operations.
• Source alternative suppliers or stocklists when existing supply is unavailable.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient material availability.
• Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, delivery, and flexibility requirements.
• Liaise with customers on the handling of obsolete parts.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant purchasing experience in the electronics industry, preferably with electronic components.
