Job summary

ALIGN RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Purchasing Officer (Electronics) in Singapore East to drive supplier selection, negotiation, and procurement aligned with demand and inventory needs.

You will assess supplier quality, quotes, and delivery terms while coordinating with production schedules. The role will involve strategic purchases and team guidance to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Find, locate, investigate, and assess suppliers that meet cost, quality, delivery, and dependability requirements.
• Evaluate supplier items to ensure they meet quality, specifications, and on-time delivery.
• Review and negotiate quotes and terms; place purchases within authority limits.
• Coordinate purchasing with demand forecasts, inventory, production schedules, and requisitions.
• Monitor delivery timelines and supplier performance; inform internal customers of status.
• Participate in strategic or large-scale purchases affecting budgets and procedures.
• Provide guidance and training to staff for efficient procurement and supply operations.
• Negotiate best rates and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Sourcing substitutes when current supply fails; ensure stock availability.
• Oversee and manage company inventory; verify supplier qualifications.

Position: Purchasing Officer (Electronics)
Working Day: Mon-Fri
Working Location: East

Job Responsibilities

• Find, locate, investigate, and assess suppliers—including Stocklist—that satisfy the company's requirements for cost, quality, delivery, and supply dependability.


• Evaluate supplier items to make sure they satisfy the organization's quality requirements, adhere to specifications, and are delivered on schedule.


• Examine and assess suppliers' quotes, bargain over prices and delivery terms, and commit to purchases (within predetermined authority limits) on terms that are optimal for the company.


• To coordinate purchasing activities with the organization's present and projected demand for goods and materials, manage and keep an eye on customer forecasts, inventory, production schedules, purchase requisitions, orders, and other documentation.


• Keep an eye on the timeliness and quality of the materials and commodities supplied; follow up with vendors regarding the status of purchase orders to guaranty prompt delivery; and update internal customers on order status.


• Involved in strategic or large-scale purchases that have a greater influence on the organization's budget, procedures, and goods.


• Give staff direction and training to guaranty efficient procurement and supply operations.


• Bargain with vendors and suppliers for the best rates and delivery schedules.


• When the current supply fails, sourcing for a substitute or stockiest availability.


• Effectively oversee and manage the company's inventory


• Verify that suppliers and vendors meet quality, delivery, cost, and flexibility requirements.


• Communicating with customers regarding the handling of obsolescent parts.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.


• Relevant working experience as purchasing officer in electronics industry/components.


• Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus.
