The role also requires maintaining store organization, coordinating with internal departments, and handling administrative tasks related to procurement and stock.

Purchasing duties
  • Process purchase orders: Prepare and issue purchase orders for materials and services.
  • Source suppliers: Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
  • Negotiate terms: Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing.
  • Track orders: Monitor the status of orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues with shipments.
  • Maintain records: Keep accurate records of all purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information.
  • Manage invoices: Match supplier invoices with delivery orders and verify correct billing prices.
Store duties
  • Manage inventory: Monitor stock levels, forecast inventory requirements, and perform regular inventory audits.
  • Receive and record goods: Receive deliveries, verify quantities, and record incoming goods into the inventory system.
  • Organize store: Maintain the store area to ensure it is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Handle returns: Receive and record goods that are returned by the company.
  • Manage assets: Oversee the purchase and maintenance of new assets and track equipment status.
General responsibilities
  • Liaise with departments: Coordinate with various internal departments to understand their purchasing needs.
  • Ensure compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
