Job summary

GovTech is seeking a Technical Lead and Engineering Manager to build the digital foundation for Singapore’s public sector initiatives. You will lead agile teams, set architectural direction, and drive delivery of scalable digital solutions that empower citizens.

You will mentor engineers, shape engineering culture, and ensure high standards across code quality, testing, and security while aligning with the government’s digital‑first mission.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in system design and modern architecture.
• Experience leading medium to large teams (10+).
• Proven ability to drive delivery of secure, high‑availability software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and UX leaders to define a long-term technical roadmap.
• Define engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Prioritize roadmaps to deliver value for public services.
• Identify and initiate engineering initiatives to maximise impact.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural oversight.
• Set high engineering standards and ensure security by design.
