Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a Staff/Principal Software Engineer to lead architectural initiatives across multi-squad teams in the public sector. You will guide problem definition, solution design, and modernisation efforts, and mentor agency engineers to build lasting product capabilities.

You will champion engineering standards, collaborate with GovTech and industry partners, and shape technology strategies with impact at national scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in multi-squad development teams
• Career progression to Architect
• Exceptional communicator and collaborator

Responsibilities

• Advise and guide client agencies from problem definition through to solution design
• Lead architecting efforts with GovTech and industry partners
• Mentor permanent engineering teams within agencies
• Establish standardised approaches for assessments, discovery, and design
• Drive engineering excellence and best practices across government
