Job summary

HAROLD CONSULTANCY is seeking an experienced logistics and supply chain professional to support commercial strategy, key account management, and operational improvement initiatives within a contract logistics and warehousing environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to contract logistics, warehouse operations, and commercial management, with a track record in continuous improvement, Lean/Six Sigma, and automation projects to drive productivity and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics & Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain, preferably in contract logistics or 3PL.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, productivity and cost structures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with objectives and market conditions.
• Manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders and lead pricing negotiations.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, revenue, and costs across accounts.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimisation to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
• Lead improvement projects in warehouse/ distribution, including automation and digitalisation where applicable.
• Establish performance measures and track impact of initiatives.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Legal, and other teams to deliver client requirements.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals and solutions to clients.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced logistics and supply chain professional to support commercial strategy, key account management, and operational improvement initiatives within a contract logistics and warehousing environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to contract logistics, warehouse operations, commercial management, or operational excellence, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

For candidates pursuing the Project Manager, Operational Excellence track, strong experience in continuous improvement, Lean/Six Sigma, process optimisation, productivity improvement, and operational transformation is essential. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on day-to-day operations management, without a strong continuous improvement or transformation track record, may not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Management

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Lead commercial and pricing negotiations with clients.
• Monitor account budgets, forecasts, revenue, costs, and overall financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve account profitability and cost efficiency.
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, and other internal teams to deliver client requirements.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, pricing structures, and commercial opportunities.
• Support contract management and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals and solutions to clients.

Operational Excellence / Project Management

• Lead continuous improvement and operational transformation projects within warehouse and distribution environments.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, service quality, and cost efficiency.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, process optimisation, and standardisation initiatives.
• Analyse operational data and identify root causes of performance gaps.
• Develop and implement practical improvement solutions in collaboration with operations and other stakeholders.
• Lead projects involving automation, digitalisation, robotics, and other modern warehousing technologies where applicable.
• Establish performance measures and track the impact of improvement initiatives.
• Deliver measurable outcomes such as cost savings, productivity improvements, efficiency gains, process standardisation, and improved operational performance.
• Manage project timelines, stakeholders, risks, and implementation plans from initiation through completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics & Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related technical or business discipline.
• More than 3 years of relevant experience within the logistics and supply chain industry.
• Strong experience in contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, or a related 3PL environment.
• Experience with 3PL, 4PL, or LLP operations is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, productivity, cost structures, and operational performance.
• For the Operational Excellence track, proven experience in continuous improvement, Lean/Six Sigma, process optimisation, or operational transformation is highly preferred.
• Experience in supply chain design, automation, robotics, digitalisation, or modern warehousing solutions is an advantage.
• Industry exposure to Electronics/Semiconductor, Healthcare, Consumer/Retail, eCommerce, Automotive, Industrial, or similar sectors is preferred.
• Strong commercial and analytical capabilities with a practical understanding of contract logistics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and execution.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and VBA, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications such as Power BI, Visio, and Stream is an advantage.
