Job summary

HAROLD CONSULTANCY in Singapore seeks an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee daily inbound, outbound, inventory control and order fulfilment. You will lead warehouse teams, optimise processes, and ensure safety standards while meeting service levels and KPIs.

Key responsibilities include planning layout, implementing SOPs, managing SAP/WMS systems, and driving Lean improvements to reduce waste and costs, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience with at least 3 years in leadership.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure the efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and dispatch of goods.

The successful candidate will lead warehouse teams, optimise operational processes, maintain high safety standards, and ensure service levels and customer requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee daily inbound, outbound, inventory control, and order fulfilment activities.
• Plan and optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation to improve efficiency.
• Ensure timely order fulfilment and delivery in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse SOPs and operational procedures.

Team Leadership

• Lead and supervise warehouse team leaders, supervisors, and ground operations staff.
• Plan manpower requirements based on workload and volume forecasts.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and training to develop team capabilities.
• Maintain a productive, disciplined, and safety-focused working environment.

Inventory & Systems

• Ensure accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and stock checks.
• Oversee the effective use of WMS and ERP systems, including SAP.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and identify opportunities to improve stock control.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure warehouse operations comply with applicable workplace safety and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, drills, and audits.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the operation.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyse operational KPIs and data to identify productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Lead or support warehouse automation, digitalisation, and process improvement projects.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and optimise operating costs.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key point of contact for customers on operational matters.
• Manage client escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Work closely with internal teams, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and service standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management , or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience , with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role .
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and SAP/WMS systems .
• Good understanding of workplace safety requirements and warehouse compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in Lean, Kaizen, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives would be an advantage.
