Job summary

A prominent consulting firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced Program Manager to oversee end-to-end program management initiatives in finance. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, governance of project changes, and risk management. Job description
Program Management
  • Drive the overall end-to-end program management across data and finance from planning to execution and delivery.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Data and Business units to align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Drive the data, design and solution discussions with vendor, technology team and user groups.
  • Direct project team of internal and/or external resources to deliver results within agreed parameters.
Project Governance
  • Ensure proper governance and impact assessment of scope creep and change requests.
  • Organise and chair governance meetings, including preparation of meeting materials and minutes.
  • Ensure work deliverables are in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Measure, monitor and report progress to stakeholders.
Scope Management
  • Manage all changes to the agreed scope of work.
  • Review and assess changes and impact to timeline & cost.
  • Ensure all changes are approved.
Risk and Issue Management
  • Identify and raise risks and issues affecting the project, including financial or operation, and proactively manage them, with timely escalation to relevant parties where necessary.
  • Drive the testing strategy and manage the testing cycles, ensuring all critical and high defects are resolved within the testing cycle.
Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships across all business lines and with external parties, ensuring timely delivery of assigned activities.

In addition, the candidate must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Must have worked in local or foreign banks.
  • Must have implemented full end to end projects for finance applications (e.g., SAP ERP, Enterprise Budget, Financial Consolidation, Regulatory Reporting (e.g., MAS 637, MAS 610)).
  • Must understand financial data.
  • Able to perform dive impact assessment, detailed data analysis and data profiling.
  • Able to facilitate and drive workshop discussions with business and tech teams.
  • Strong communication skills, e.g., prepare high quality & concise presentation slides to senior management.
  • Strong stakeholders' engagement skills.
  • Self-driven and proactive.
  • Adaptive to different areas in the data and finance space, open to learning new Gen AI technology.
  • Project Manager with over 15 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles, with hands‑on experience in both SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Skilled in data management and financial systems, with knowledge of system integration and reporting.
  • Familiar with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, especially in finance‑related projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Project for planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build effective relationships across business and technical teams.
  • Highly organized with experience managing multiple stakeholders in large, matrixed environments.
  • Confident in presenting to senior leadership and diverse audiences.
  • Passionate, diligent, and resilient, with the ability to work through ambiguity and deliver under pressure.
  • PMP certification preferred.
