Job summary

RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead end-to-end electrical construction projects at Changi Airport (Changi Airport 5). You will oversee planning, budgeting, safety, and coordination with clients, contractors and regulators.

Five-day work week with 24/7 standby as needed. 10+ years in electrical systems and a degree in Electrical Engineering are required; proficiency in LV/HV switchgear, power distribution, ELV, testing and commissioning is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Electrical System roles including PM work.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in LV/HV switchgear, power distribution, ELV, testing & commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of electrical construction projects, manage budgets and schedules.
• Define scopes and build detailed timelines using Primavera or similar software.
• Coordinate on-site activities with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
• Lead testing, commissioning and handover of electrical installations.
• Manage risk assessments and contingency plans.

• Up till $5,000 - $10,000 basic + $80 mobile allowance + $550 transport allowance (Own vehicle or using company vehicle) + Variable bonus + Annual Bonus (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)

• Work time: 5 days work week (Although is 5 days work week, but as nature of the responsibility, 24/7 (On stand by mode) is required)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Strategic & Executive Leadership: Oversees the complete lifecycle of electrical construction and installation projects, managing budgets, timelines, safety compliance, and technical coordination.
• Project Planning & Scheduling: Define project scopes, set deliverable goals, and build detailed timelines using tools like Primavera/Revit or project management software.
• Cost & Budget Management: Prepare initial estimates, track project expenditures, manage variation orders (VO), and control financial performance to prevent overruns.
• Site Supervision & Operations: Oversee daily on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and monitor planned versus actual progress.
• Technical Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all electrical systems (such as LV/HV switchgear, power distribution, and ELV systems) adhere to local building codes, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
• Testing & Commissioning: Lead the testing, commissioning, and final handover of electrical installations, including as-built drawings and operation manual.
• Risk & Safety Management: Enforce strict on-site safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and establish contingency plans for site bottlenecks.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary link between clients, main contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in Electrical System (LV/HV, power distribution, lighting, ELV, and related system) including project management and engineering roles.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency in electrical systems design, installation, testing and Commissioning.
