Job summary

Ponvel e&c pte. ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced Electrical/Project Engineer to plan and manage site activities for complex construction projects.

You will coordinate resources, supervise subcontractors, and ensure milestones, safety, and quality are met. The role requires a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in ELV, lighting, and building automation systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical drawings, specifications and requirements
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical projects
• Experience in A&A projects or Design and Build across various project types
• Proficient with electrical systems, ELV, project lighting, and building automation
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Safety certifications such as SCWSH/BCSS
• Coordination with site staff and subcontractors, good time management and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and set up site and sequential job planning for the smooth execution of projects to achieve cost, quality, timelines and customer satisfaction objectives.
• Manage construction activities and progress independently.
• Carry out resource planning for project such as site staff and workers, subcontractors and to ensure their effective deployment.
• Attend project meetings and updates on progress.
• Control materials, tools and equipment ordered and delivered.
• Manage all site staff and subcontractor schedule.
• Ensure adequate quality control measures via on-site/off-site inspections and completion/pre-handover inspections.
• Check that approved materials are used within specifications and certifications submitted, recorded and approved by vetting Singapore Agencies.
• Proactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are taken.
• Administers Submittal Review process between Subcontractors/Suppliers and design team.

Requirements

• Able to understand electrical drawing, specifications and requirements skills and experience required.
• Degree in Electrical engineering or diploma holder with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Worked in on A & A projects and/or Design and Build in various type of projects with different nature.
• Technically competent across the full range of electrical systems, ELV System, Project Lighting, Building Intelligent System and relevant skill set and competencies.
• Proven track records of successful project completion on time and on budget.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all level of staff.
• Possess the relevant safety certifications like SCWSH / BCSS.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate with relevant site people to execute work Excellent time management and teamwork skills.
