Goal of Position: The incumbent is responsible to support Schaeffler Asia Pacific Research & Development (R&D) initiatives under the Schaeffler Hub for Advanced Research (SHARE) program at NTU by ensuring effective project management from initiation to completion and contributing innovative ideas to create impactful customer experiences to meet evolving business and market needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Take a hands‑on role in managing projects across all phases – initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure – ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and proper documentation.
• Develop and maintain project charters and management plans, actively overseeing scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.
• Perform budgeting and forecasting tasks directly to ensure accurate financial planning, cost control, and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Plan and coordinate VIP visits and high‑level meetings personally, managing logistics and stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth execution.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, research institutes, and government bodies to drive innovation and secure new project opportunities.
• Support open innovation initiatives by engaging with startups and innovation networks to enhance Schaeffler’s R&D portfolio.
• Lead user experience strategy for innovation projects, including design research, user journey mapping, and technology roadmap development.
• Facilitate discussions with NTU and other stakeholders on research and innovation projects, contributing to strategic ideation and proposal development.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Design, Business, or a related field or equivalent practical experience, with specialization in Project Management, Product Design, or User Experience (UX).
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing large‑scale, complex R&D projects and working with cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with research areas such as Robotics, Mobile Robots, and IoT applications is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of project management principles and the full project life cycle.
• Experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel; experience with JIRA, GitHub, and Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and risk management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and results‑driven, with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
