Job summary

SHILLA TRAVEL RETAIL is seeking a seasoned Project Lead to steer end-to-end fit-out and renovation initiatives in Singapore. You will review architectural layouts, supervise site operations, and control costs while ensuring compliance with codes and safety requirements.

The role requires a Diploma in a related field, 5+ years of lead experience, and strong communication. Proactive, independent yet team-focused, you will liaise with vendors and internal teams to deliver stores on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of lead experience related to renovation and construction, preferably in FMCG/retail.
• Diploma in a related field.
• Self-starter, proactive and a team player with can-do attitude.
• Independent yet a team player able to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong organizing, project and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; Korean language is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, Auto CAD and PhotoShop.

Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Lead end-to-end fit-out and renovation timelines from concept to handover.
• Design and Layout Execution: Review architectural layouts, floor plans, and elevation drawings.
• Site Management: Oversee contractors, sub-contractors, and daily site operations.
• Budget Tracking and Approvals: Control project costs, material procurement, and expense reporting.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to local building codes, landlord rules, and safety regulations.
• Draft or prepare store design document package for new/re-modeled store from conceptualized design through design development
• Provide feasibility studies and coordinate project design based on Shilla Duty Free standards and site conditions
• Coordinate with Merchandising team to ensure that plans are issued to merchant group/brands/vendors per construction schedule
• Ensure start of construction on schedule by obtaining necessary permits and approvals
• Monitor performance of contractors during construction; track production to ensure on-time delivery within budget
• Support store execution with detailed design/installation guides for flawless execution
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Budget Tracking and Approvals: Control project costs, material procurement, and expense reporting.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to local building codes, landlord rules, and safety regulations.

DESCRIPTIONS

• Draft or prepare store design document package for new/ re modelled store from conceptualized design through design development
• Provide feasibility studies and coordinate project design based on our Shilla Duty Free standards and site conditions
• Facilitate effort to develop project scope of work including review of codes, tenant criteria, merchandise requirements and operations requirements and any other design elements to be incorporated into the project
• Review drawings at all critical points throughout a new store project's development
• Ensure constant communication with external/internal parties with regards to field conditions and any other changes made to projects
• Provide counter design guidelines to vendor and work closely with vendor/ business partner to design and build the store
• Coordinate with Merchandising team to ensure that plans are issued to merchant group/brands/vendors per construction schedule
• Check all plans meet Shilla Design standards and criteria
• Ensure start of construction on schedule by obtaining the necessary construction permit and CAG's approval
• Monitor the performance of contractor during the construction phase
• Track all production to ensure that each project is delivered on time and within the specified budget
• Support store execution with managing of detailed design/installation guides to help ensure flawless execution
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of lead experience related to renovation and construction, preferably in a FMCG or retail environment; Prior experience in a similar role within an airport would be a plus
• Minimum a Diploma in a related field
• Self-starter, Outgoing, dependable, pro-active and team player with can-do attitude
• Independent yet a team player
• Able to work under tight dateline
• Good organizing, project and time management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, candidate with ability to speak Korean will be added advantage
• Proficient in MS Office, Auto CAD and Photo Shop
