Job summary

Great Eastern is seeking a capable Project Manager to lead system-related projects by partnering with business stakeholders, IT teams and vendors to deliver technology solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency. The role requires 3-5 years in managing application development, a degree in IT, and strong communication.

Insurance knowledge is preferred and a willingness to learn new systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Degree or Diploma in Computer-related studies or Information Technology.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in managing application development projects.
• Knowledge on insurance is preferred.
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn insurance systems and adapt to new processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of system-related projects.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements and translate into solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to evaluate and implement solutions.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources and quality standards.
• Identify risks and issues and propose mitigation strategies.
• Organise project meetings, prepare minutes, track actions and follow up.
• Coordinate UAT with stakeholders to ensure adherence to timelines and business needs.
• Support system operations and liaise with Head, Projects and Systems to maintain stability.

Lead and manage system-related projects and initiatives by partnering with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to deliver effective technology solutions that support business objectives, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of system-related projects, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, and translate them into effective solution recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to evaluate proposed solutions, ensuring they meet business needs, technical requirements, and organisational objectives.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and quality standards to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Identify, assess, and escalated project risks and issues proactively, while recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Organise and facilitate project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up on agreed deliverables.
• Drive and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), working closely with stakeholders to ensure testing is completed within agreed timelines and business requirements are met.
• Support system operations and work with the Head, Projects and Systems to ensure business applications remain stable, effective, and aligned with operational needs, including handling ad hoc assignments as required.
• Degree/ Diploma in Computer related studies or Information Technology
• 3 to 5 years of working experiences in managing application development
• Knowledge on insurance preferred
