Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery and enhancement of enterprise-scale digital systems in Singapore. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure solutions across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IT project management, systems analysis, or related field.
• Full project lifecycle experience from requirements to deployment and post-implementation support.
• Strong SDLC knowledge: Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery.
• Hands-on development awareness with Java, JavaScript, Angular, SQL, web tech, OO frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, and project management skills.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise or complex tech environments.
• Experience with Singapore government digital services or Whole-of-Government IT frameworks advantageous.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork.
• Degree in CS/IT/IS from a recognised university; professional PM/Agile certifications advantageous.
• Delivery track record with diverse academic backgrounds considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-production support.
• Engage stakeholders to translate requirements into functional and technical specs.
• Drive systems analysis, process modeling, and solution design for applications.
• Coordinate system integration with internal apps and external government platforms.
• Plan and manage UAT to meet business and quality requirements.
• Manage scope, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery quality.
• Collaborate with developers, vendors, and system integrators for successful implementation.
• Oversee external vendors and ensure timely, within-scope, high-quality deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Prepare BRDs, functional specs, design docs, and test plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery and enhancement of enterprise-scale digital systems. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to translate business needs into reliable, scalable, and secure technology solutions.

This role requires a strong combination of IT project management, systems analysis, stakeholder management, and technical expertise, with responsibility across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT projects from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Engage business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Drive systems analysis, process modelling, and solution design for new and existing applications.
• Coordinate system integration with internal applications and external government platforms and digital services.
• Plan and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business and quality requirements.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and overall delivery.
• Work closely with developers, technical teams, vendors, and system integrators to ensure successful project implementation.
• Manage external vendors and ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, budget, and required quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Prepare and maintain project and system documentation, including BRDs, functional specifications, system design documents, and test plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of relevant technology and industry best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT project management, systems analysis, application delivery, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and post-implementation support.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
• Good technical understanding and hands‑on development experience with Java, JavaScript, Angular, SQL, web technologies, and object-oriented programming frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, and project management skills.
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise or complex technology environments.
• Experience with Singapore government digital services, platforms, or Whole-of-Government IT frameworks would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline from a recognised university.
• Relevant professional certifications in project management, Agile, or technology will be advantageous.
• Candidates with a strong delivery track record and demonstrated technical competency may also be considered if their academic background is in another discipline.
