Job summary

GAC (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a project logistics professional to provide commercial and operational support for project logistics activities, including handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, supporting tenders, and overseeing specialised cargo movements.

You will coordinate air, sea and road freight operations, manage OOG and project cargo, attend customer visits, and liaise with vendors and the commercial team to ensure timely, compliant deliveries and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma qualification or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant freight forwarding or project logistics experience.
• Strong knowledge of air, sea and road freight operations.
• Experience with OOG and project cargo is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to prepare quotations and support tenders.

Responsibilities

• Handle RFQ requests and prepare accurate quotations.
• Support tender submissions, including RFP and RFQ exercises.
• Coordinate full spectrum freight operations (Air, Sea, Road).
• Answer customer enquiries and address operational needs promptly.
• Oversee shipments including Out of Gauge and project cargo.
• Attend customer visits and support business development activities.
• Provide on-site operational support at warehouses or sites.
• Liaise with internal teams, vendors and customers for smooth shipments.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational issues.
• Prepare and update reports for stakeholders within timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as required by superiors.

BasicFunction

The incumbent willprovide commercial and operational support for project logistics activities,including handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, supportingtenders, and overseeing the execution of specialised cargo movements. He or shewill ensure project freight requirements are met efficiently andprofessionally, contributing to the overall business objectives in deliveringcustomer solutions and operational excellence.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle customer Requests for Quotation (RFQ), both external andinternal, and prepare accurate and timely quotations.
• Support the Head of Department in tender submissions, includingRequest for Proposal (RFP) and RFQ exercises.
• Manage and coordinate full spectrum of freight operationsinvolving Air, Sea, and Road transportation.
• Attend to customer enquiries, requests, and operationalrequirements in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate and oversee shipments involving Out of Gauge (OOG)cargo and project cargo.
• Conduct customer visits when required, including accompanying thecommercial team for business development activities and operational meetings.
• Provide on-site operational support at warehouses or project sitesduring loading and unloading of special cargo when necessary.
• Liaise closely with internal stakeholders, vendors,subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth execution of project shipments.
• Monitor shipment progress and troubleshoot operational issues toensure service delivery excellence.
• Prepare, consolidate, and update reports accurately and withinstipulated timelines for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company operational, safety, and securityprocedures during cargo handling and transportation activities.
• Any other duties assigned by the superiors.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience infreight forwarding, project logistics, or multimodal transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Air,Sea, and Road freight operations.
• Experience in handling Out of Gauge (OOG) cargoand project cargo will be an added advantage.
• Good customer service and stakeholder managementskills.
• Experience in preparing quotations, handlingtenders, and supporting commercial activities is preferred.
• Willing to travel for customer visits and attendsite operations when required.
• Able to work independently and under tighttimelines in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Possess strong interpersonal, coordination, andproblem-solving skills.
• High integrity, commitment, and attention todetail.
• A good team player with a proactive andcustomer-focused mindset.
