Job summary

UVW Building Services PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a capable Coordinator to support construction, minor works and maintenance activities. You will ensure effective communication, proper scheduling and timely completion of assigned works on site.

The role requires coordinating clients, supervisors, workers and subcontractors, managing resources and maintaining project documentation while adhering to safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily construction, minor works, repair and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with clients, supervisors, workers, subcontractors and suppliers regarding work schedules and site requirements.
• Arrange and monitor manpower, materials, tools and equipment required for projects.
• Prepare and maintain work schedules, deployment records and project-related documentation.
• Follow up on work progress and provide regular updates to management.
• Coordinate site access, permits, deliveries and other arrangements required for work activities.
• Ensure relevant RA, SWP and other required documents are available before work starts.
• Coordinate toolbox meetings, safety briefings and other site arrangements with supervisors.
• Maintain records of inspections, work orders, service reports, attendance and completed works.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and services are provided on time.
• Follow up on defects, rectification works and customer complaints until satisfactory completion.
• Assist in preparing quotations, purchase requests, work orders and other operational documents where required.
• Ensure proper filing and control of project, safety, environmental and quality records.
• Support management during internal and external audits and provide relevant documents and records.
• Monitor compliance with company procedures, client requirements and applicable legal requirements.
• Coordinate proper waste segregation, disposal and housekeeping arrangements at worksites.
• Report safety, environmental, quality or operational issues to the relevant manager promptly.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining the company's Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate daily construction, minor works, repair and maintenance activities.

Environmental Responsibilities

The Coordinator shall:

• Coordinate proper segregation and disposal of construction and maintenance waste.
• Ensure environmental requirements are communicated to supervisors and relevant workers.
• Maintain environmental records, inspection reports and waste disposal records.
• Assist in monitoring environmental objectives and programmes.
• Coordinate actions relating to environmental incidents and non-conformities.
• Ensure relevant environmental documentation is available for projects.
• Support implementation of the company's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

Safety Responsibilities

• Ensure required safety documents are prepared and available before work begins.
• Coordinate safety-related training, toolbox meetings and briefings.
• Follow up on safety inspections and corrective actions.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions to management.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with company and site safety requirements.

Qualifications & Competency

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction, maintenance, or project coordination.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate workers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance activities.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety and environmental requirements.
• Able to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Relevant Singapore safety courses/certifications are an advantage.
