Job summary

UVW BUILDING SERVICES PTE. LTD. seeks a site supervisor to oversee daily construction, minor works and maintenance at the worksite, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires coordinating workers, subcontractors and site personnel, enforcing RA/SWP, PPE and environmental controls, and maintaining records and tool readiness. Previous supervisory experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction, minor works, repair and maintenance activities at the worksite.
• Allocate work to workers and ensure tasks are properly understood and carried out.
• Monitor workers, subcontractors and site activities to ensure compliance with approved work procedures.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved RA, SWP and method statements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and provide workers with safety and work instructions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Inspect work areas, tools, equipment and access arrangements before and during work.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel regarding work schedules and site requirements.
• Monitor work progress and report delays, site issues and manpower requirements to management.
• Ensure materials, tools and equipment are available and properly maintained.
• Check the quality of completed works and ensure defects are rectified promptly.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure construction waste is segregated and disposed of.
• Ensure environmental requirements are followed, including control of dust, noise, waste, spills and chemical use.
• Report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, environmental incidents and near misses to management immediately.
• Maintain relevant site records, inspection checklists, toolbox meeting records and work progress reports.
• Ensure workers comply with company policies, site rules and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Assist management during site inspections, safety inspections, audits and client inspections.
• Carry out other duties reasonably assigned by the Project Manager or Management.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise daily construction, minor works, repair and maintenance activities at the worksite.
2. Allocate work to workers and ensure that tasks are properly understood and carried out.
3. Monitor workers, subcontractors and site activities to ensure compliance with approved work procedures.
4. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and method statements.
5. Conduct toolbox meetings and provide workers with necessary safety and work instructions.
6. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices.
7. Inspect work areas, tools, equipment and access arrangements before and during work.
8. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other site personnel regarding work schedules and site requirements.

Safety Responsibilities

• Ensure workers follow approved RA and SWP.
• Stop unsafe work and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure appropriate PPE is worn.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections.
• Ensure safe use of ladders, tools, machinery and other equipment.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe access/egress.
• Report workplace accidents, incidents and near misses.

Environmental Responsibilities

• Minimise waste generation and unnecessary material usage.
• Ensure proper segregation and disposal of construction and maintenance waste.
• Prevent chemical, oil and other hazardous substance spills.
• Control dust, noise and other environmental impacts from work activities.
• Report environmental incidents and non-conformities.
• Follow the company's Environmental Management System and applicable environmental requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
