Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering project coordination.
• Experience in Defence, Heavy Equipment, Automotive heavy vehicles or industrial machinery.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage defence maintenance and engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, materials and equipment for project execution.
• Oversee repair and maintenance of military vehicles and related mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with workshop supervisors, engineers and technicians throughout maintenance.
• Review technical reports, inspection findings and repair documentation for quality.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and engineering specs.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams during project execution.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Resolve technical and operational issues to minimise delays.

About the role

The Project Coordinator role involves planning, coordinating and managing defence maintenance and engineering projects from initiation to completion, overseeing the repair and maintenance of military vehicles and related mechanical systems, and liaising with clients and internal teams throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage defence maintenance and engineering projects from initiation to completion
• Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, materials and equipment required for project execution
• Oversee the repair and maintenance of military vehicles and related mechanical systems
• Coordinate closely with workshop supervisors, engineers and technicians throughout the maintenance process
• Review technical reports, inspection findings and repair documentation to ensure quality standards are met
• Ensure projects comply with contractual requirements and engineering specifications
• Liaise with clients and internal teams throughout project execution
• Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates
• Resolve technical and operational issues promptly to minimise project delays

Job Requirement

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

• Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering project coordination
• Experience in one or more of the following industries: Defence, Heavy Equipment, Automotive Heavy Vehicles or Industrial Machinery
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication or maintenance operations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is advantageous
• Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company procedures
• Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions where required
