Job summary

Epergne Solutions is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide production and application support for Wealth Management systems in Singapore. The role requires strong SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and UNIX/Linux skills, with 6+ years in financial services support.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents within SLA, coordinate with IT teams for upgrades and deployments, and contribute to ITIL-based change management and disaster recovery exercises.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of application/production support experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience supporting Wealth Management, Order Management, or Execution Management systems.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle (19c) and MS SQL Server; ability to write SQL queries.
• Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Understanding of financial products such as FX, Money Market, Equities, and Derivatives with front-to-back workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production support environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide production and application support for Wealth Management systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor production environments, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve issues within SLA.
• Manage incident, problem, and change management activities following ITIL best practices.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, development, and vendor teams for upgrades, releases, and deployments.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
• Support UAT, production rollouts, and BAU changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to maintain system integrations and processing.
• Participate in business continuity planning, disaster recovery exercises, and IT initiatives.
• Provide technical support to business users and ensure timely issue resolution.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Avaloq Banking System or Avaloq Certification.
• ITIL certification or knowledge of IT service management processes.
• Knowledge of FIX Protocol, market data, and financial models.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, microservices, Python/Perl scripting, and advanced Excel.
• Experience supporting enterprise banking applications in a production environment.
