Job summary

Fong Lee Metal Industries Pte Ltd is seeking a Production Planner to develop and monitor production schedules ensuring deadlines are met. You will book machine capacity based on sales forecasts and coordinate prioritization with production and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, plus strong skills in BOM interpretation, process sequencing, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to interpret BOM and drawings.
• Good knowledge of process operation sequence.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor production schedule to meet deadlines.
• Hold weekly meetings with production and engineering on the schedule.
• Book machine capacity based on sales forecast and prepare capacity chart.
• Coordinate order prioritization according to delivery schedule.
• Identify and address production issues with relevant departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• 1) Develop and monitor production schedule to ensure deadlines are met.
• 2) Conduct weekly meeting with production and engineering department on production schedule.
• 3) Book machine capacity based on forecast from sales department and prepare overall capacity chart.
• 4) Coordinate internally on order prioritization according to delivery schedule.
• 5) Identify and address any issues that may arise during production with relevant departments.
• 6) Any other duties that is assigned by superior as and when it is required.

Requirements:

• 1) Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 2) Able to interpret BOM & Drawing.
• 3) Good knowledge on process operation sequence.
• 4) Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• 5) Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
• 6) Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills.
