Job summary

AME International Pte Ltd is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate and optimize manufacturing workflows, plan machine loading, and allocate manpower across departments to ensure on-time delivery.

You will liaise with Purchasing, Quality, Sales and Engineering, develop loading plans for the next three months, and train junior planners while driving continuous improvement in production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher education is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and quality control.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective cross-department communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production workflow on the shop floor to maintain smooth operations.
• Plan and prioritize daily and weekly operations to maximize performance and minimize delays.
• Develop weekly machine loading plans and forecast production loading for the next three months.
• Determine manpower, equipment, and raw material requirements to meet production demand.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Suppliers to coordinate material deliveries and outsourcing schedules.
• Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion of production tasks.
• Identify and resolve production issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Prepare and submit production status and performance reports.
• Train assistant planners and subordinate staff to enhance team capabilities.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production workflow on the shop floor to maintain smooth operations
• Plan and prioritize daily and weekly operations to maximize performance and minimize delays
• Develop weekly machine loading plans and forecast production loading for the next three months
• Determine manpower, equipment, and raw material requirements to meet production demand
• Recommend worker and staff deployment to the Production Manager to fulfill production and delivery targets
• Propose shift schedules aligned with production needs to the Production Manager
• Liaise with Purchasing and Suppliers to coordinate material deliveries and outsourcing schedules
• Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion of production tasks
• Identify and resolve production issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions
• Collect and report output data such as the number of finished products
• Prepare and submit production status and performance reports
• Collaborate with Quality, Sales, Store, Engineering, and other departments to ensure coordinated production flow
• Manage and train assistant planners and subordinate staff to enhance team capabilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or further education/certification is preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Pivot Table) & ERP systems
• Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills applied to production environments
• Effective communication skills for cross-department collaboration
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively as a team player
